Dr. Jean Dodson is Assistant Professor of Viticulture in the Wine and Viticulture Department at Cal Poly where she is responsible for development and programming at the university’s new Center for Wine and Viticulture. The center features a commercial-grade, bonded winery and learning facility focusing on high precision grape production and processing to marketing and distribution of the finished product.
TOM SHAPLAND, Co-founder and CEO at Tule Technologies Inc
Tom Shapland, Ph.D., and his research team developed a method to measure Actual Evapotranspiration during his dissertation work at UC Davis. Tom and Jeff LaBarge, an Alumnus of Cal Poly, are the cofounders of Tule (pronounced “too-lee”). Tule helps hundreds of farmers make irrigation decisions across California. Tom has a Bachelor of Science degree in Viticulture and Enology, a Master of Science in Horticulture & Agronomy, and a Doctorate in Horticulture and Agronomy.
