Bruce Taylor founded Taylor Farms in 1995 with the vision to become North America’s favorite maker of salads and fresh foods. Dublin, Ireland, 21 September 2016, Irish AgTech start-up Agricultural Magnetics, MagGrow has won two Awards at the 2016 Innovation Arena Awards, held at the National Ploughing Championships in Screggan, Tullamore, Co. Offaly.
The company won the Sustainable Agriculture Start-up Award and the Best Competitive Pitch Award.
"If the first tech revolution for agriculture was the green revolution, nitrogen, and now we are realizing that the sustainability of soils and ecosystems can’t support such intensive chemical agriculture, the current tech revolution is the opportunity to address that...Right now [farmers] are thinking I’ve got limited resources I need to send my resources out to where I’ve got problems. I don’t want to waste time going to places where I don’t have issues. Often, I can’t see what is going on in the middle of my field from the outside if I’m driving around it. Being able to see from the sky is really helpful in that situation."
