We are partnering with Universities and Corporations to invest and engage the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders to use Innovation and Technology to solve the biggest challenges facing the Food and Agriculture industries.


WHAT IS THE THRIVE-X CHALLENGE?

THRIVE-X is a challenge program that invites University student teams to compete in designing the best technology solutions to the key challenges facing the Food and Agriculture industries.  The initial launch of the THRIVE-X Challenge Program is in partnership with Cal Poly SLO, Santa Clara University and Hartnell College, Salinas.  The first challenge is for teams to identify innovative solutions to solve the labor shortage problem in agriculture. The top two teams will be recognized and awarded at the Forbes AgTech Summit, June 26-28th, Salinas.

 
 

WHAT IS THE APPLICATION COMPRISED OF?

Teams will develop their solution and submit 3-minute video summarizing why their solution is the best approach to labor shortages in agriculture. The final write-up and video should be submitted no later than May 31st, 2018.

The two winning teams will be announced on June 8 and must be available to present at THRIVE’s Demo Day at the Forbes AgTech Summit in Salinas, CA on June 27th. The presentation will take place in front of some of the largest AgTech companies and investors who will be there to hear pitches from THRIVE’s spring startup cohort. The first place team will receive a $10,000 cash prize, the second place team will receive a $5,000 cash prize.
