Our device, known as a Passive Upload Connection or “PUC,” tracks a farmer’s fertilizing, planting, spraying and harvesting activity in real-time. You can think of it as the Fitbit for farm equipment. As the farmer works, the PUC relays data via built-in cellular transmitter to Farmobile’s cloud-based system. This data is captured and enhanced with relevant information like the days weather and market activity, and compiled to create an electronic farm record (EFR) that can then be shared and/or marketed to agronomists, seed companies, or other interested parties. To date, Farmobile has compiled over 3,000 EFRs completed by American Farmers. “Farmobiles technology empowers the farmer to not just manage, but leverage their data like never before meaning that for the first time, farmers become benefactors of the wealth of knowledge their farm produces year after year. Farmobile is the first company to certify under the American Farm Bureau Federation Ag Data Transparency Evaluator outlining our transparent data ownership program.
